Meet the Engineering 350 Team
Ray Keane, P.E., Founding Principal
Ray is a licensed professional engineer and LEED® accredited professional who has over 20 years of design and construction experience. Ray has worked in both the design and construction industries, this unique experience allows him to design high-performance building systems that are practical and economical. Ray’s vision is global; he has practiced in both Europe and in the US, and he has worked on projects in five continents. Ray is committed to delivering regenerative and living buildings in this decade and is currently providing leadership in a number of planned developments that are set to achieve living building status.
Ray was educated in Ireland and received his engineering degree from Trinity College Dublin. He completed postgraduate studies at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers in Paris France. Ray lived and worked in France for seven years before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area. Noted projects include La Grande Arche de la Défense, Paris; Musee du Louvre,Paris; de Young Museum San Francisco and the LEED® Platinum ARD building at NAU, Flagstaff Arizona.
Heather Keane, Partner, Marketing
Heather is originally from Chicago, but has lived in five states and is happily settled in Northern California with her family. She began her career in Marketing after graduating with a degree in Interpersonal Communications from Northern Illinois University.
Heather’s sense of design and aesthetics is inspired by her passion for Photography. She has been capturing breathtaking landscapes, architectural design of buildings as well as her awe-inspiring flowers for many years. Launching her first business at an early age gave her the drive to succeed. Heather is the CFO (Chief Fun Officer) of Engineering 350. She is constantly looking at the bright side and finding the win win in everything.
Kim Zylker, P.E., Associate Principal
Kim is a licensed professional engineer and LEED® accredited professional who has widespread design and project management experience as a mechanical engineer. Kim received her engineering degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Prior to forming Engineering 350 Kim worked as a project manager and project mechanical engineer on a variety of sustainable projects including San Francisco Friends School in the historic Levi Strauss Building, California State University, East Bay’s new Recreation and Wellness Center, Stanford University’s Institute for Economic Policy and Research, and the Grand Hyatt San Francisco Renovation.
Kim looks at every project as an opportunity to collaborate with the architectural team and to create design solutions that are not only fully integrated but deliver on the promise of increased building performance. Kim also believes that good project management is critical to a project's success, and to this goal she strives for excellent communication between her team and the client.
Jonathan Gervais, P.E., Electrical Lead
Jon Gervais is a Professional Electrical Engineer and MEP Project Manager with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Texas.
He aims to progress the field of engineering by promoting education and thoughtful design. His career aspiration is to work with talented teams that are aligned on creating something great.
He is proud of becoming an Eagle Scout as well as his accomplishments on prior projects.
Maria Nazar, Electrical Engineer
Originally from Venezuela, Maria is specialized in designing electrical systems for residential and commercial projects.
Maria has a degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Carabobo with a concentration in Power Systems. Each day she encounters new challenges and loves the complexity that each project requires, putting the customers’ needs first and always giving them her best.
Maria is a Green Building design passionate that loves how California leads the way for the rest of the world.
Phillip Bui, Electrical Engineer
Born in Vietnam, Phillip and his family looked forward to the opportunities that were available in the United States.
Phillip originally declared as a nursing major, decided he would much rather work with computers than fight illnesses. Graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento.
Philip always wanted to be a part of progress and at Engineering 350 he feels like he is; one project at a time. Philip feels very fortunate to be working in such a friendly environment as well as being an integral part of an excellent team.
Matthew Ambra, BIM Coordinator
Matthew was born and raised in the SF Bay Area (on the peninsula in particular). He attended the University of California, Riverside and graduated in June of 2014 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering specializing in general mechanical engineering. He began his career as a Mechanical Engineer later that year, and has not stopped since.
He enjoys the design aspect of construction work. Matthew is inspired by the construction process. To see just how many factors contribute to bringing an actual building to fruition. He was thrilled to work for Engineering 350 because it's a young company with great growth potential while working in designing green buildings he feels it is the best direction for the future as a whole.
Spencer Fox Davis, Energy Analyst
Spencer was born and grew up in Raleigh NC, making his way out to San Francisco to start a new chapter after graduating college. He attended Appalachian State University, graduating in 2022 with a B.S. in Building Science with a concentration in architectural technology and design.
He enjoys learning about the technical advancements that push building design and construction to be more sustainable, efficient and accessible. Working for Engineering 350 has been a great experience to gain industry knowledge and learn about the ways designers, engineers, architects and contractors work together to build the environment we live in.
